Get started with your design
Start by clicking the green button at the top then “Add a new project”
Name your book design, for example, your customer’s name, choose a supplier, and then you will get buttons for all sizes,
keep in mind that fineart, studioline and the books with mats are not available in all sizes.
Now you are ready for the “add new project” button on the right.
Start by clicking on “start designing”.
Note the three small gears where there are some possibilities.
There you can upload pictures you missed or replace a picture so you do not get duplicates.
History where you can back up the band and make restorations.
Click at the top and upload pictures, they appear quickly when you first see “thumbnails” and then
the images are loaded in the background, but you can start working immediately.
Select the pictures you want in your book, they should be high resolution.
Click on the pictures at the top when they “fall” down on the spread.
they end up in a pattern, but you can easily change the pattern, you have the templates at the bottom.
Oops, we got a yellow warning triangle on the upper right corner of the big picture!
This means that the image is too small for optimal printing, take up the image in eg Ps
and make it bigger you can then upload it if you exit the program and click on
gears and “replace picture”.
Then just keep going.
On our first spread, we set the distance between pictures 3 or 4, we think it looks good.
The advantage of doing it first is that then future spreads get the same settings.
Here you see all the tools in the right and left edges, plus when you place the mouse pointer
in an image, the image also has tools such as zoom, rotate, mirror, etc.
Didn’t find a template you liked?
Make your own! you click on the padlock in the left edge, then you get “handles” around the pictures when you
places the mouse pointer on them. Grab a red box and drag it where you want it.
NEVER stop between the outer edge and the line inside the edge this is a safety area.
When we now want to start on the next spread, LOCK the padlock and then click on the plus in the right edge.
If Zalamo asks if you want to save your template as your own, it ends up behind the pen in the lower left corner.
If you want to place the main subject where you want it, place the mouse pointer on the image, hold down the button and move so you feel satisfied.
we zoomed out the picture and dragged it a little to the left, we do not want the book’s bay where the couple stands.
As you can see, this image is called “Takort-nu-052.jpg” The file name appears when you have the mouse pointer on the image just like the tools.
